Scoring 50 goals in one season is one of the most celebrated individual achievements in the National Hockey League (NHL). This tied Wayne Gretzky and Mike Bossy for the record of most all-time seasons. Alexander Ovechkin scored 50 goals for a ninth time in his career during the 2021–22 season.
